Ah, yes, the downside of snow. As an Australian who doesn't get snow, I think it's all awesome and shiny. However, if I actually had the bad parts (and the coldness) I probably wouldn't love it so much!!
Areas of Australia with mountains get snow in Winter. Here in Adelaide, the highest peak is only about 700 metres, so it isn't high enough for snow. There has been very light snowfall a few times in the past, but very rarely, and nothing heavy enough to really sit on the ground.
